Message from GPA/Emerald Coast President Anne Bollens

Thank you so very much! You and your bidders were very generous and very kind. We will use this donation to help move dogs from the Pensacola and Ebro tracks, here in the FL Panhandle, to non-racing states. We also currently have in our program several greyhounds who were formerly in the Ron Williams/Harold Williams kennel. We brought these dogs in from either Mobile or JCKC for placement through our program. It is thanks to the generosity of our friends that we are able to extend a helping hand to these guys to start them on their adoption journey.

The first 8 dogs, the ones who started the entire investigation of Ron Williams, have now been released by the sheriff’s department for adoptive placement. We will begin vetting them next week. I am so excited that we can now begin to help these hounds along the adoption path.

170.000 $ in fines and his license revoked

That's what the greyhoundtrainer that abused 37 greyhounds and killed most of them is facing according to the News Herald.
To me a disappointing result. It is very likely he will file for bankruptcy and will never be really punished for killing these poor animals.

Auction to help out Emerald Coast Adoption in the care for the Ebro greyhounds

 Here is how it works:

• The auction starts Sunday, November 14 at 9 AM Eastern time and ends at 11PM Eastern time.
• You can put in a bid by sending an email with your name, your bid, the item number and if you want your name mentioned or if you want to stay anonymous.
• If two emails come in with the same bid, the first e-mail in will get the bid.
• Bidding ends at 11 PM Eastern time and emails coming in after that time will not be considered.
• On Monday the 15th the highest bidders will get an email confirming their bid and information on how to send your payment.
• We will accept Paypal, cheques and if you are from the Netherlands, internet banking.
• The items will be sent after we get the payment confirmed
• Please allow for some time since some of the items will be shipped from Europe.

For the people who need a bit more information a few links to the recent news regarding the cruelty case that took place at the Ebro racetrack. GPA-EC took in several of the surviving greys and will go on taking as many greyhounds from that track to find them a place as a well loved pet.

This Sunday!!!

We will start the blog with a small, fast auction to benefit the surviving greyhounds from the cruelty case at the Ebro race track in Florida.
We are aware that a bigger auction will be taking place early December, but we will do a fast one to generate some money for the first care of these dogs.

Already we have some awesome items all the way from the Netherlands donated by Greyhounds in Nood Nederland and May Schabelreiter  from halsbanden.com.
Also, Melissa from M.Paige Portraits is donating some wonderful items.
And off course there will be a print from the Little White monster herself, or rather,  3 prints will be auctioned and that is just the beginning.

Write it down, Sunday, November 14th. Bidding starts at 9 AM and closes at 11PM Eastern time!
